Thank you for being a customer for the last few year. We really appreciate your business. As you mention we keep the laundry as clean as possible and I'm happy to say we are one if not the cleanest in Denver. The smell you are talking about is a little complicated to explain. Commercial washers have a drain value directly below the tub. When that value is closed it holds all the water in the washer for it's cycle. If the washer is off that value is in the open position so there is no way for water not to drain out. The water completely drains out of the washers into a trough behind all the washers. The trough has a filter and then the water heads out of the building. We clean the filter 2 time a day and we don't reuse water. Since the drains values are always open you're smelling the touch where all the water drains into. During the day water is constantly moving so the smell is very minimal. Early morning is the time you could smell the trough due to no water movement since the night before. Laundries that don't use troughs don't have this issues since their water is piped directly out to the sewer. But this isn't good for our sewer system because there isn't a screening system to catching items. We use the trough because its better for our sewer system.

We have 3 big bright orange signs right in front of the coin changers explaining the attendees don't have access to money to buy back tokens. We used to years ago but due to numerous incidents we no longer keep cash available.
