No stars. I've been going there for a while but most of the equipment is always broken. Talked on the phone with someone from the management and she denied having any problems. Oh well

Its just your regular laundromat. The small is very small. Its it its own little corner of the mall so just toss the load in while you shop at the grocery store or have a meal! :D

Space was clean, and airy, the breeze just keeps the area cooler. The variety of washer sizes was super helpful and because its right in the heart of the marketplace with the restaurants nearby along with the playground within sight- you can bet I will be a frequent flyer here!

Absolutely the worst... Machines have been broken for months. Watch out for the washing machines that don't have water. There's #4 working dryers out of #15. The management will not fix anything. Absolutely disgusted with the management. The manager has to be the rudest person I've ever had a conversation with. don't ask for a refund over the phone because she'll delete your funds on your card and you will be escorted off the property by security. Evil Evil she can't put the donuts down to fix the problems.

As of June 2025, Mānoa Laundry is under new local ownership, and we’re actively repairing and maintaining the equipment to bring the laundromat back to a high standard. Unfortunately, this place is not well managed. Broken machines, water on the floor. Soda machine out of order.They need help.. Great location. Been going there for decades since my mother used to take me with her.

If you can find a washer and dryer that works properly great. I called management several times to notify then that I wasted at least $22 because machines were not working properly. There was no call back. The new signs posted are good, but you can not reach management.

I'm happy to comp your next visit so you can see the improvements we have made. We have almost all of the dryers repaired and the remaining equipment has parts on order and should be completed in the next two weeks.

I won't be back until I see a new review that says the broken machines have been fixed.
Don't get me wrong, I love this laundromat and this location as long as the laundry machines are functioning.
At least half of the large capacity washing machines are broken and people running laundry businesses are using what's left. Immediately gave up and went somewhere else to do my laundry. Unless you're coming in the middle of the night, just don't bother.

So many broken machines! 😞 Especially driers which run but blow cold so don't know they're broken until it's too late.
Also, they're now running a drop off laundry service and literally every single machine other than the tiniest washers is tied up the last two visits.
Machines packed with white towels, bedding, etc from what I can only assume are hotels, resorts, rentals. One of the two folding tables heaped with the same.
Super bummed. No longer recommend for do it yourself laundry.

Premises condition - very good/clean and secure feeling (as in few if any sketchy characters hanging about)
For DIY coin/pay laundry facilities in Honolulu, this one very good.
If there is a wait for machines, the only way to clearly indicate you're in line for one is to park your butt right next to it and enjoy the awkward exchange of glances with your butt-parking neighbors. But then that's how they all are, amiright?
All machines require use of a prepaid card you can purchase and reload on site.
All washers are front load. Washing is 4-6 dollars for medium and large machines, 9 for the gigantic washers. Drying is 25 cents per 7 minutes. A large washing machine load will dry in about 20 minutes. If you cram two large wash loads into a dryer it'll more than double the drying time, so don't do it.

Our top priority is to get all of the equipment repaired and provide a reliable, convenient place for our customers to enjoy. We have 18 of our 22 dryers fully repaired and the remaining equipment has parts on order and commercial equipment repair specialists scheduled for the next two weeks. I appreciate your reviews, I can tell you really care and I hope you will return at some point and see for yourself.You may see some newer reviews pointing out the improvements, I hope you start seeing a lot more!

16 out of 22 dryers..BROKEN? C'MON..thats why we pay high prices so you can pay to repair.Plus the cockroaches were a nice touch. Clearly needs new management/ owners!!!
Richmond, my name is Tim and my wife and I are the new owners of Manoa Laundry since June 1st, 2025. We have all but 4 dryers completely repaired (18 of 22 are going strong) and the others have parts ordered and are scheduled for the next 2 weeks. I hope you have noticed positive improvements if you have recently visited, we’re trying really hard and are committed to bringing Manoa Laundry back up to the standard it should be.
