Iam a single female having to do what it takes to survive. Gathered my laundry and walked uphill to bus stop. Boarded the bus and had people yelling but it did not matter I have to do my laundry for work. Anyway made it to madrona laundry mat and it is a clean establishment and when I loaded my clothes I saw it was like three minutes into the wash but I saw no water. I immediately called the number and the owner called me back within minutes. He was ready to refund my money and ever but I explained that I now saw water and it was ok. His last words to me was we want to make sure your Happy… that scored my future business and I am a very happy person. Thanks Madrona laundry mat owner..

Change machine was out of order. Soap machine dispensed a different brand/type of soap than the one shown on the image. First washer I tried (#8) took my money but did not register it and didn't immediately give it back. I transferred my clothes and soap to a different machine which did work and only took half an hour and cleaned well. I used an emery board to dislodge my lost $3 in coins in the other machine. Dryer worked. Each 25c bought 5 minutes. I paid for 30 minutes which was probably more than I needed. No place to fold, one solid stool to sit on and one rickety one. I sat in the ice cream area at the front. I texted the manager on the provided phone number about the issues with the equipment (and the temporary loss of my $3) but there was no response (it was however a holiday). However, by the end I had some change left from the $10 I bought from the kitty-corner deli with $14 plus tip on my credit card and I had clean, unsweaty clothes without cat hair. Uber came quickly to get me home, too.

This place is the eye sore of the neighborhood with ownership and management that couldn’t care less. The water only works about half the time, the coin machine regularly steals your cash, and management doesn’t return calls or emails to complaints. 0/10, it’s worth it to drive to Hogan’s Corner in U District for better service and machines that actually work

Fed the machine money and it stopped taking quarters after $4 spent, then wouldn't initiate a washing cycle. Called the number and was told to text, when I texted I did not hear back. Ultimately I was able to get the machine going, but it took almost 40 minutes of trying to feed the same quarter. Do not use this laundromat!

Chose the laundromat because of its proximity to my home but I won't be returning. It was not staffed which did not help when two of the machines took several quarters. It was not clean nor tidy AND there was absolutely no place to actually fold clothes 🤨 …

Crowded, jam-packed, brightly fluorescently lit, narrow, cramped, expensive. Twenty-five cents for five minutes of dryer time (your choice of heat). This is my second go at this place. Do not come here if you hate people, cramped face to face or butt to butt interactions with strangers, white people staring at you (I’m white, myself), paranoia, buzzkills, terrible lighting, nowhere to sit. Equally narrow and crowded sidewalk! HUGE tree in the middle of the sidewalk (truly lovely) with three gigantic mismatched planters with superfluous plants that look very unhappy to be alive there in the shade. The true storefront is, in fact, a Molly Moon’s iced cream parlor (devastatingly busy with non-laundry customers). Why? The sidewalk is only three inches above the street and the traffic is allowed to park right up against it. I hate this place. Your laundry can wait for you to find another laundromat, trust me.

The machines are tiny and they only have 2 big washers and 1 big dryer. No one on site to ask for help.

This place is filthy and requires quarters. What is the story of a cash cow - just keep taking the cash. Good neighborhood, horrible parking, filthy machines. How about cleaning once in a while. If you have no other choice you could come here
