I only used laundry services. Clean and machines seemed new. Washing went fine. But I couldn’t get dryers to heat up, which cost 25 cents for two minutes. After spending perhaps $10 on dryers for three loads, I gave up. Went to closest nearby laundry which was Washboard. There the attendant broke $20 for me (no way to break a $20 at Red Door) and dryers were smoking hot almost instantly. It was worth the hassle to pack up and go somewhere else. Washboard also had carts to shuffle your laundry around, something missing at RD.

Positives were a clean laundry and good appliances. Nice bathrooms and an outdoor sitting area with views.
The washers were $5.30 and actually held 2 loads.
Negatives were the cost of the dryers and the time it took to dry. I had 4 loads, used 2 washers and 4 dryers. One dryer had 2 towels and 6 dish towels and took 30 minutes to dry. Another had sheets and also took 30 minutes to dry. The cost of drying is always in my estimation cheaper than the washing. Not Here. I spent $11 washing and almost $20 drying. These are just regular dryers. At other places these dryers cost 25c for 3 or 4 minutes. 25c for 2 minutes is insane for how well they dry. I don’t accept that this is the norm on the peninsula as I have used a few laundries in Soldotna. Also you can use the laundries at the RV campgrounds around Homer. Some allow their use as they are usually controlled by a subcontractor. Much cheaper. I used Red Door to try it out and it was 3 minutes from where I was staying. Never again. As a minor issue there was no laundry baskets to move your wash from the washers to the dryers,

Super clean laundry and shower facilities. Staff was on site cleaning the machines. $5/10 minutes hot shower. Complementary towels and toiletries. $5.50 per wash and about $2.50 for a complete dry.

Super clean showers and laundry. $5.00 shower, with a complimentary towel and wash cloth to use. Highly recommended if you are in the Homer area. Thank you for providing us campers with a clean shower. It’s the little things that make a difference.

Used our hotel laindromat first which caused a nasty mildew smell on our clothes. Went to this laundromat to rewash. Pulling up to the laundromat I thought it was closed due to construction in the parking lot. It is definitely open and very clean. Washer is 5.50 per load for 30 min wash. Dryer is .25 per 2 min and I dried a large load in an hour. Someone left the shower on overnight and water went into the main floor I texted the owner to let him know and got a quick thankful response. Quality location to wash clothes and bathrooms were very clean as well.

Nice quiet place to do laundry. Friendly staff. There machines work well and the showers are great too! It's nice to feel welcome unlike THE CHEEKY MOOSE!!!!

Camping in Homer and my partner wanted to train bjj (s/o Hold Fast Grappling), so we needed to find a place to shower before and after.

This spot is wonderful! $5/10min shower is a lot for a docksite, BUT this is not that. It's a well maintained facility that is obviously cared for.

Since we came back 2x in one day, only 3hrs apart, we were able to see how the facilities were maintained between use. The 2nd time we noticed the shower areas were since cleaned, new towels were restocked, and it seemed as though everything got a quick once-over.

This place RULES, well worth the $10 we spent getting him clean. Easy to access (clear signage), easy to use (change machines), and convenient in general (towels, wash cloths, soaps included).

Long day on a charter? Drove down and need a shower before driving home? This place is perfect for what you need!!!! Towels, soap, washcloths and 10 minutes of wonderful hot water for only $5! Awesome place!
