No complaints. Docents prices and free dryers (med heat only and you gotta restart every cycle) but still, free!

Clean place. Helpful and friendly employees. I felt safe here both times I did laundry here. There is a Starbucks next door to grab a snack and a tasty beverage while you wait for your clothes. It's $15 to do 8 loads of laundry at once. Most dryers are free. No complaints. Just helpful and hard working folks here.

Great first experience! I have never been to a laundromat and I am new to the area. I read great reviews about this place and decided to give it a go. I mainly wanted a place I could drive to and park at. There were plenty of parking spaces available. Make sure you bring cash. It was $3 to get a money card and then you had to load a balance on it. The small washer was about $6 for a load and then the dryers were free. Staff was nice and helped us get started. I will definitely be coming back!

$5.50, $7.50 and $9.50 to do a load of laundry?! This is obscene price gouging. I walked in and I took my business elsewhere.

Response from the owner

Please be advised the dryers are free to use when you wash with us. Free dryers help you use multiple dryers to get your clothes dried faster. We don’t charge for drying.

2025 new review: pleased to say that the place is back to being run professionally and is extremely clean with people working there that are professional, Low key and competent. Still a beautiful place that was designed with every detail in mind and it's been kept up fairly well. Small details like there's no more paper towels in the dispenser and they moved some tables around so that you can't really charge and sit comfortably as much probably because Porter square has gotten so bad it's understandable. There's still a wonderful big sink there there's still a nice signs there's nice ambience and decoration whoever planned that laundromat that built it in the very beginning did an excellent job. They even put handles like drawer handles on the covers where the back of the machines are where the pipes are so that they can just lift it off to fix it I have never seen that in any laundromat across the country that is very utilitarian and attractive.
You still have to use a card would you purchase for $3 so if you have your old showcase card use your old card and load it up and they still have a neat little machine where you can put credit card value onto the laundry card.
And just as before you pay a lot of money for the washer because the dryers are free but they do have coin-operated dryers if you just want to dry something. so this place isn't recommended for people that just want to wash and not dry. If you wanted to do something like that you might ask them how you would work that out with them.
The reason the machines are so expensive is because you pay for your wash and dry with the washing machine.
So you pay $16 for a machine that would usually be $9 in any other place but it turns out to be cheaper in the end because the dryer price is included.
The dryers are clean he vacuums them out constantly the washing machines have a tiny bit of mold smell which is typical for front loaders unfortunately in every laundromat but it's not overbearing. And I believe the place is open fairly late. Again you have an attendant their constantly and you have a Starbucks next door and a Subway. Anton's cleaners is on the end of the plaza. There's a gas station and a Cumberland farms store adjacent parking lot.
It's a very clean nice place to do laundry and it's been kept up very well and I am very happy to report there's no drama there anymore of course I did my laundry on a Monday this time I think we were going on the weekends before and that was probably a bad choice but there was constant drama there for years with two crowds or groups of people. The gentleman I wrote about in the 2018 review passed away but then there was another group of people causing drama and I'm happy to say that it's back to just plain old laundry and cleaning and folding and sitting around watching TV waiting for your laundry to be done as I remember years ago.

It could be some business decision I'm not aware of something where going on because of the competition from City Laundromat was severe at the time but now City Laundromat is falling apart so a lot of people are flocking to this laundromat. So maybe the place is making good money I have no idea.
I wish they would buy City Laundromat and rescue that place.

We did meet a very cool Mexican couple that were there working at the laundromat temporarily they were for Mexico City I don't know what year it was probably right after covid.
Met a lot of interesting people at this laundromat but more than meeting interesting people I like to get my laundry done and not have any drama. So please go to this laundromat do your laundry enjoy everything that's there because unfortunately in life things change and it could go back to being a theater for drama.. but I hope not.
Strangely I've been told that the owners over the past 7 years have been the same people but then again that review was 2018 and it's 2025 now so I wonder if maybe new owners bought it and we just didn't go back to the laundromat after they bought it to see how it was because we were so disgusted with how it was before.

This is the most expensive laundromat I've ever seen. Absolutely ridiculous. They should be ashamed of themselves.
