72 reviewsfirst time I was here , I needed some information but the owner was very rude
I had to do laundry while on a multi-city vacation. This place is open relatively early (8am) before touristy stuff, and the owner and maybe her son were both there at 8am and able to exchange my $20 for lower bills & quarters to use the machines.
Note that she only gives quarters for customers to use the machines. She does not provide change for other purposes or for non-customers. (If you need a $20 in order to even exchange it with her, you can go across the corner to the southwest, where there is an ATM in a separate room next to the 24 hour convenience store - the attendant will open the door to the ATM room for you. This nearby location of an accessible ATM for people carrying their laundry with them makes this laundromat's location extra convenient for those who come to the city without any cash on-hand.)
Back to the laundromat itself, there are a very large number of machines (some new and some old), and the machines are clean. The floor itself looks a bit dirty, but it might just be because it is old tiling - even when it's cleaned, it tends to look worse over time.
Signage clearly indicates the cost of using the washers and their method of operation. A sign near the front of the store also tells people the costs so they know how much they may need to exchange into quarters. Prices are fair - any less and I don't think they'd be able to stay in business.
If you live or have a hotel room within a mile of this laundromat, it is where I would recommend going.
From the get-go I was treated badly. One word answers while keeping her face buried into her phone. Only takes cash bc like most of the Asian oriented businesses in Boston, the IRS can't trace cash which why most places only take cash. Charges 25ยข a minute for dry which is $1.00 every 4 minutes. On average a person uses 25-35 mins on dry at a laundromat. Which averages to around 7-9 dollars on the dry. $5.75 for a "triple load". Then to take out cash you'll most likely have to pay a fee and a fee from your bank. So altogether between wash, dry and the bank ATM fee. Your going to spend 18.00 on the lowest average cost to do 1 load of laundry. It's all deceiving tricks used to dry up any person coming in to do laundry. If your to use this place, only use their laundry service. Other then that, teets on a pole..... Useless.
Fast wash and fold
This place is really great. Wash, Dry, Fold for $1 per pound. The place was just taken over and I think the old reviews are from the last owner who was a bit of a nut. Now it is owned by a nice couple who both work very hard making my laundry perfect. They will follow any directions if you have special requests and really appreciate the business. Since discovering them, my life has been easier!
Stayed in Boston at Hampton Inn Crosstown for 2 weeks, this nearby laundry mat was convenient, clean and good neighborhood vibe.
Machines are clean, this is fabulous!!!
Machines work very well, and location is perfect!!!
Unfriendly, expensive visit. Cost nearly $20 for two loads of clothes
