Suds City Depoe Convenience Store and Laundromat

Had family come from out of state and they were in a motel. We went to go visit them and decided to hang out with them since they had an extra bed. I did my husband's work clothes to find out the motel dryer did not work. I went to the nearest laundry mat to dry his work clothes at Suds City. I put them in the dryer and the next thing I know I'm being told it's their policy that you can't dry clothes there unless you wash them there too! Of course I was pissed! I had a time frame to get his clothes done and we do not have a working car ( it's in the shop). It was absolutely not the fault of the girl working there. She was simply just trying to do her job. I was told the MANAGER of the place was watching the live video feed and called her to tell her to make me leave. I have spent so much money on past occasions doing laundry and buying food from their store. It will never happen again. I will find somewhere else to do laundry. This place was convenient since it is only a block from my house. I don't care if I have to do laundry at the mat by my job on Wiltsey and Commercial st because I will not be coming back. I've been in Salem for a long time. I will definitely be spreading to word. I mean really, what if someone's dryer at their home stopped working and they only needed to dry their clothes?

This place is lit, nice workers and they have a store RIGHT THERE. You can literally buy something to eat and wash your clothes. #loveyall

The remodeled in the laundry is very nice. The attached convenience store is impressive, clean, neat, well, stocked with more items than you would find most standard convenience stores.
As always, the woman working, I was friendly and very helpful.

Made a special trip and found them closed during their listed business hours. Very disappointing.

Edited to add: Returned not long afterwards. They were listed as open at 7am. Nobody arrived on site until 7:18am. They should update their hours.

This place is great but don't expect to get fair change from cashier twice now been going there and been short changed I guess 75 cents is worth a customer

The lady working was so friendly. It cost me $4 to wash in the smaller washer amd $1.25 to dry, which was very economical. I will use them anytime I'm in town.

After challenging the 30lb weight of brand new washer, leaving clothes soaking wet, I was refused service service n told to leave.
