Got a question about Tremont Street Laundromat? Ask the community!

Q Are you open on Sunday?
A No answer yet.
Q They have change machine?
A No. Unfortunately not. You need exact cash in increments of $5, 10, or 20 dollar bills.
Q how much is machine and detergent
A Machines range from 3.25-3.75 for washers (depending on washer size used) and dryers are 25 cents for 8 minutes.

You'll need to get a reloadable laundry card. Which is $5 for the card itself. And you'd have to bring your own detergent. Thankfully a couple CVS and other stores in the area.

Update as of Fri Jan 29, 2025!

The laundry is temporarily closed as they are working fixing and bringing new washers and dryers in.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!
First I get there and they don’t sell laundry detergent (??) laundry mat ≠ detergent (??pmo) . I work from out of town so, no, I’m not lugging around laundry detergent.
I come back to this mediocre joint and the machine only takes $5’s….alright. So I walk BACK to where I just came from (2 blocks) to break my $20. I say all this to say, this could’ve been avoided if they sold laundry detergent.

Great little laundromat.
We almost didn’t come here because of all the bad reviews. The place is nobody bothering me and no crazy people. I brought my own detergent and dryer sheets. 4 chairs for me to sit in and I brought my own WiFi. Laundry done! Thanks we will be back.

As another reviewer said, bring cash 5, 10 or 20 bills. You can buy the card at the place with 5 dollars. Works well for me.

Total dump

- 7/12 machine are out of order
- the soap machine is empty
- you can buy a refillable card it ONLY takes a single $5 bill won't take 5x $1 and won't take a single $10 bill

This is an interesting laundromat. It wouldn't be so bad if they actually repaired the machines. More than half of them are decommissioned, and at the rate it's going, every machine will be out of operation within a year. I don't know what …

Terrible fascility. Could not buy soap, could not use coins, had to buy a card, put in a 5 dollar bill, got 3 dollar value. The machin could only take 5 dollar bills. Most information in chinese. Had to walk to 7/11 to change. Ridicolous

No soap and many machines needing service! Had to load and unload 3 times to get a machine that worked.
Does NOT take credit cards for “their” laundry card. Charges you $3.00 for that card AND only takes $5 bills!

They fixed the washers and they have cards the $5 you spend gets a portion of that towards your own load. Update: 10/7/25 - if your expecting all of the washers to work, laundry detergent in the dispensers, or even the laundry mat attendant to be there at anytime while you are there please dont get your hopes up! Washers break even with the smaller loads in
