Probably the worst tumble dry there is in Minnesota. It’s definitely the smallest one I’ve patronized so with that it gets very crowded fast. It looks like they haven’t cleaned the place in days. This last time I went, there was trash everywhere and on a 95 degree day there is no AC whatsoever. This will be the last time I come to this location.
sn: the crystal and Blaine locations have no problem keeping the AC cool on 90 degree days. Go there if you can.

Response from the owner

Dear Xandria,
We apologize about your experience with the internal store temperature during your recent visit. We are aware of the uncomfortable temperatures during these daily high temps & very humid days. But rest assured that we have the strongest AC system in our store, however with the outside 95-degree days combined with those internal dryers it's very difficult at times for it to keep up. On the bright side we're grateful these temps in MN are short-lived for our customers and our cleaning partners. Also, I want to assure you that we have cleaners there every morning and night and run 3 shifts on the weekends for the higher volume during the weekend...7 days a week. We appreciate your feedback, because we take all feedback seriously.

This laundromat used to be excellent. On a prior visit years ago when I encountered an issue, a uniformed, courteous employee was on site and resolved it promptly. That level of service left a strong, positive impression.

Unfortunately, that experience no longer reflects the current reality.

On my most recent visits, machine reliability has been consistently poor. I understand that equipment failures are inevitable; however, having to move my laundry not once, not twice, but three separate times before finding a functioning machine signals a maintenance problem, not a fluke. On another visit, a machine accepted—then failed to credit—$3 in quarters. While the amount itself is insignificant, the lack of accountability is disappointing.

The larger concern, and the reason for this review, is the environment inside the facility.

During my last two visits, individuals loitering inside the laundromat repeatedly approached me for money. The odor and general condition of at least one frequent occupant were overwhelming. It is genuinely alarming that families are expected to wait in this space. These individuals appear to spend more time on site than actual staff, and there is no visible management presence to address the situation.

I understand that no business can control everything that happens when staff are not present. However, allowing conditions to deteriorate to this extent is a choice.

I will now drive significantly out of my way to avoid this location. Tumble Fresh, this facility has been allowed to decline, and it shows.

Response from the owner

Thank you for taking the time to share this with us in such detail and for noting the strong experience you had with us in the past. We’re sorry your recent visits didn’t reflect that same standard. Having to move your laundry around and having payment accepted without being credited, is not acceptable and we would like to help resolve this, if you could please email us at MPG@tumblefreshlaundry.com so we can ensure you’re credited back for this. We also hear your concerns about the environment inside the store. No one should feel uncomfortable or unsafe while doing laundry, and our team will be reviewing what steps need to be taken to turn this around. We’re sharing your feedback with our operations team to address both equipment reliability and the in-store conditions you mentioned. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, it gives us the visibility we need to make improvements. We hope we have the opportunity to earn back your confidence and provide the smooth, high-quality experience you’ve come to expect at Tumble Fresh. - Your Local Tumble Fresh Team

Arrived on a Saturday morning approximately 7am (they open 5am, according to sign on the door). My first time using a Tumble Dry and it's been more than 10 years at any laundromat in general. One other patron was the using facility but stayed in their vehicle. Clean and orderly facility. Used app to do laundry. I'd give it 5 stars if the app worked flawlessly with the machines.

There's a bit of a learning curve to get the machines started, that includes figuring out where to look for messages on the app or on washer/dryer being used. The timer was off by 10 minutes between the washer and the app indicating the washer I was using.

The app didn't work to start the dryer but the app did work to pay for use (did not indicate in the app "in use" once started as the washer had). I had to select the temperature on the machine to start, not "start" in the app. It's also numbered as "103" in the app but "03" on the machine (I think this could throw people off, as even I was a bit worried I'd pay on another machine if I selected an incorrectly numbered machine. As a former waitress, I'm used to table numbering systems starting rows with 1, 2, etc., so I choose "103" to pay and it was correct).

I didn't get an alert for the washer (or dryer, of course) when it finished, and I did check all the settings on my phone to be sure I'd get them. I used the largest capacity washer for three quilts ( "8 loads," according to the app; one king-size and two-full size quilts washed together) and largest capacity dryer (also "8 loads"). The washer cleaned the items in about 40 minutes. The dryer also completely dried two polyester filled quilts and mostly dried one hand-made quilt all together in the machine in 36 minutes on medium (that quilt was slightly damp to touch, this was expected).
The dryer has a beeping alert from the machine that I heard when finished, I didn't hear one from the washer that I used.

Cost in total was $16.20 and 1.5 hours time ($12 & $6 machines with 10% discount for using the app), plus downloading of app and putting money into app prior to arrival.
