We have been customers with this establishment for over a year and a half. The gentleman that usually works there has always been very nice and helpful. Ever have an issue, and he helps.
This evening, we went there, put our laundry, detergent and coins into the machines and went outside to sit in our vehicle (all seating was taken). We come back inside to move all of our clothes into dryers once the washers all finish. One load had not been washed at all, not even wet. Once we had realized that the machine had eaten our quarters, we went to talk to the lady working there...she accused us of not paying (her reasoning behind that, was that she hadn't seen us). She refused to listen as we tried explaining the situation, maintaining that she was right and we were wrong. Later, when we asked where we could file a complaint, she scoffed and walked away.
The moral of the story is, if you are contemplating going to D Family Laudromat, be aware that there is a laundry facilty on Tudor and Seward Highway. Choose to receive actual customer service. Congrats D Family, you lost a loyal customer!

One of the best place in Anchorage to do laundry. Its clean, affordable and always an attendant on duty to help. This night the attendant stayed 20 minutes after closing until we finished. That was great! Thanks!

They get a 5 because the attendant always has the place clean and unlike other places in town, I've NEVER had an issue with any of their machines. Anything not working has signs clearly marked. They also exchanged a dollar that I did lose in one of the machines. Very helpful.

D' Family Laundromat is always clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The laundromat has plenty of washers and dryers, a change machine, a snack machine, and free internet. Who could ask for more?

I used to love this Laundromat.
Since the new owners have taken over, it has completely changed.
They have taken out most of the tables, so you have to sit and wait on just the chair.
They have put up hanging plants EVERYWHERE so it looks like a jungle.
There is now a strange smell in the vicinity.
And lastly they have put up Alaskan Artwork everywhere, it looks like the walls are closing in.
I felt very claustrophobic and couldn't wait for my laundry to be done so i could GET OUTTA there!
